Rocky Mountain High Productions is an independent multimedia production company whose mission is to create art that examines the human condition from a perspective outside of the mainstream. Whereas many productions are constructed under the auspices of commercial venture, the foundation of RMH is the search for truth.  May it provide a glimpse or prove fruitless, it this timeless quest that drives us forward.   
   
It is the goal of RMH to study the actual, not the imitation.  To this end, RMH strives to eschew convention, to build films in real time, unrehearsed and undirected, in order to capture the sets and scripts only life can provide. Theatrics are by and large abandoned, in hopes that the collaboration of mind and moment will more clearly define the stage.  In this age of catchphrase and consumer culture, RMH seeks not just to exploit but to examine, not to costume but to unmask, not so much to illustrate but to illuminate. 

Film is merely a set of images, married together in a spatial relationship. The viewer gives it meaning. Like everything in the universe it is formulaic, and much of filmmaking genuflects to a simple mathematical function: X dollars into production equals Y dollars at the box office. But that is not life, satisfactorily sensory though it may seem, and we at RMH believe life is being lost, lost in the formula. Films exhibit, but they also impress, imprinting values and ideals onto their audience without a conscience of accountability. At RMH we understand the stewardship we assume by producing art, and although we know it may be impossible, we struggle to capture the light with as little prejudice as practical.
